Our Design Approach

We approached Momo’s Place with a focus on restraint — removing anything unnecessary and allowing material, form, and product to lead. Rather than building a brand around decoration, the system was designed to support the product quietly, creating consistency across touchpoints while leaving room for variation as the line expands. Every decision, from typography to packaging layout, reinforces a sense of calm, clarity, and permanence.

Brand System and Identity

A restrained identity system built for longevity. The logo and typography were designed to feel timeless and unobtrusive, allowing the product and materials to take the lead. Subtle details in spacing, scale, and layout create a sense of calm, reinforcing the brand’s focus on slow living and thoughtful design. The system is flexible enough to extend across packaging, digital, and future retail applications without losing its core character.

Packaging and Unboxing Experience

Minimal candle packaging designed to highlight form, material, and scent. Labels and packaging elements were intentionally reduced to their essentials — creating a system that feels cohesive across scents while supporting small-batch production. The approach prioritizes clarity, tactility, and consistency at every touchpoint. Material selection and scale were carefully considered to ensure the packaging feels natural in both retail and home environments, reinforcing the brand’s quiet, lived-in presence.

Art Direction & Photography

A visual language rooted in natural light, texture, and lived-in environments. Photography direction focused on quiet, everyday moments — capturing how the products exist within real spaces. The goal was not to stage perfection, but to reflect the rhythm of daily life and the role these objects play within it. This approach creates a sense of familiarity and warmth, helping the brand feel both elevated and accessible.

E-commerce Experience

A simple, intuitive shopping experience designed to match the brand’s pace. The website was built to feel calm and easy to navigate, allowing the products to speak for themselves. Clear structure, restrained design, and thoughtful pacing create a seamless path from discovery to purchase. The result is a digital experience that mirrors the physical product — considered, minimal, and easy to engage with.

Brand in Use

Designed to extend naturally across product, packaging, and space. From shelf presence to in-home use, the brand maintains consistency without feeling rigid — allowing flexibility as the product line evolves while preserving a strong, recognizable identity. Each touchpoint reinforces the same core idea: simple objects, thoughtfully made.
